About Melissa Groman, LCSW
Melissa Groman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private psychotherapy practice in NJ. She received advanced training in Psychoanalysis at the Academy for Clinical and Applied Psychoanalytic Studies (ACAP) in NJ where she is a doctoral candidate.
The focus of her studies, in addition to supervision, is the treatment of couples, addictions, eating disorders and adolescent girls. Mrs. Groman is a graduate of Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work.
Mrs. Groman recognized a great desire for on-going dialog resources and training among her colleagues, but discovered that geography and travel constraints were obstacles for many to get it. With that in mind, she founded the Good Practice Institute to offer resources and consultation for social workers and psychotherapists in a format that connects therapists from all over the country.
Her work focuses on the gentle understanding and study of relationships, effective interventions with clients and all the elements of good and effective practice, and professional satisfaction.
